Pick an item from the Museum of Failure.  Why do you think the product failed? What did the creators forget to consider when they made the product?  As you think about your Capstone, how will failure help you?

The item I picked from the Museum of Failure was "New Coke." This product is a classic case of trying to cut corners. While one can applaud the company for taking a risk and removing classic Coke from the markets to help sell the product, to me it seems they were just trying to push the cheaper to produce version of their original product by taking all other options out of the way. I believe this product failed because Coca-Cola tried to do what many companies do, produce something for less cost. The company never admitted to this, but it seems pretty undeniable considering corn syrup is cheaper than sugar cane. The company forgot to consider a lot of things when taking this chance, such as the actual people that would be buying this product. When thinking about my Capstone, I will consider this. Failure teaches lessons if you don't repeat the mistake. This company made this mistake not just once, but a second time with "Coke II." I don't want the same thing to happen with my project, so I will keep this in mind: don't cut corners.
